Business Analyst

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather, review and analyze data generated from primary and secondary research sources to develop insights from data, and write components of research reports and business plans
  • Research and conduct market sizing, customer segmentation and competitive landscape studies on projects.
  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments
  • Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Plan and coordinate the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives, as required and presents findings of studies to client committees
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
  • Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing or Finance. A Master’s degree is highly desirable
  • Two years of professional experience in a writing-focused, market research or business analytics role.
  • Prior international experience (professional or academic) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with online research techniques, economic and financial data sources.
  • Deep understanding of economics, financial terms and marketing concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of forecasting techniques and quantitative research skills highly desirable
